Data Engineer

Jobdesc:

• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data migration requirements and objectives.
• Develop detailed data migration plans, including data mapping, data cleansing, transformation, and validation strategies.
• Analyze source data from various systems to assess data quality, completeness, and suitability for migration
• Identify and address data issues and anomalies, collaborating with data owners and subject matter experts as needed
• Design and implement data transformation processes using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and techniques
• Develop scripts and queries to extract data from source systems, apply necessary transformations, and load it into the target system. 
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies and ensure data consistency across systems.
• Provide regular status updates and reports on data migration progress to project stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies and data security standards during the migration process
• Protect sensitive data and maintain data privacy throughout the migration
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including database administrators, developers, and business users, to coordinate data migration activities.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to convey progress and address any concerns
  

• Minimum S1 all major background (preferred in Information technology)
• Have 2-3 years of relevant experience as Data Engineer
• Proven experience in data migration projects, ETL processes, and data management
• Proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Microsoft SSIS) and SQL for data manipulation and querying
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data structures, and relational databases
• Familiarity with data quality assessment and data cleansing techniques
• Knowledge of data governance principles and data security best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve datarelated issues
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
